Heaven Bound Trio, formerly known as The Rock Quartet, was founded on Easter Sunday of 2019.  Four members of Rock Springs Baptist Church, (Larry Jones, Meghan Jones, Jacob Mullinax, and Shellie Marthers), in Blacksburg, South Carolina decided that we should start a music ministry where we can share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song, with intention of lost people coming to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. After looking at Psalm 95:1 KJV, “O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation,” we decided the name of the group should be “The Rock Quartet.” Each member of the quartet believes that Jesus is the Rock of our Salvation; Therefore, our salvation is solid, our salvation is firm, and our salvation is strong and unbreakable. When the group was formed in 2019, each group member was heavily involved in our church. Larry Jones served as the Choir Director for the past 21 years, Jacob Mullinax as the Associate Pastor, Shellie Marthers as the Sunday School Director, and Meghan Jones as the Coordinator of our Children’s Ministry.  With a lot of prayer and supplication, each member of the quartet decided that we needed to step away from our duties at the church and focus our time on The Rock Quartet’s ministry. Since 2019, our ministry has been able to minister to churches in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. We are excited about what the Lord has already done for our ministry, and what he is going to do in the years to come!

Update: On December 4th, 2023, our Bass vocalist decided to step away from our ministry and spend more time with his family. After much thought and prayer, we decided to change our name to Heaven Bound Trio during the Month of January, 2024. God continues to bless out ministry, and we look forward to seeing lives changed and souls saved in the years to come! Praise the Lord!
